Everyday Life Is Beautiful. | Topeka, KS Lifestyle Photographer

My 52 Weeks project is on this blog probably more than any other subjects. I love it. I love capturing such real moments in Reagan's life that one day I will forget have even happened until I see the photos. She is always in her element, usually with clothes that mismatch and hair that looks like it hasn't seen a brush for weeks.

Some professional photographers look down on "momtographers" and think that they should not be able to call themselves a photographer at all. I think that if a woman (or man for that matter) learns the art of photography because they want to capture these special moments for their children, then they can call themselves whatever they want.

The point is: the most mundane, simple things in a day can be the most beautiful captures. A child's sleeping face, a muddy pair of boots after a good mud-puddle-jumping play date, bedtime reading. It's all the things that are fleeting for us as parents.

They can be just as important as posed smiling shots. They are the ones that make us REMEMBER.
